I have an OME stabilizer to replace the OEM one. I've got the bushing end disconnected; however, I cannot get the stud out of the drag link. I've beat the heck out of the bolt, mushrooming it, but I can't get it off. HELP!

Heat it up with a torch then hit it with a BFH

Pretty much. I've had to replace that part of the draglink before cause I bent it trying to get a stabilizer out. They can be a real pain the but sometimes.

Your on the right track now but your probably going to have to cut the top of the pin off now if its to mushroomed up to fit back through the hole.

Ill let you borrow the angle grinder and cutoff wheel if you promise not to let 4doors use it.

I have my own grinder, thanks though!

I've tried pitman arm puller before on soome stubborn ones and it wouldn't do a thing. I don't know how these things get stuck so bad. I have some TJ draglinks if you end up needing one.

Ok, I got the bastard out. I guess my next question is, where do I get a replacement stud? The drag link hole is obviously tapered, so I'm thinking that a strait bolt wont cut it.

Napa should have them. The OME stabalizers come with one from the factory. Take it in to them and they should be able to test fit it for you.

Your new one didn't come with one? I may have some used ones laying around. Let me know if you don't find one.

I wish that I'd have seen this. I went to Schucks and NAPA. They don't make the stud available alone, so I had to buy a whole new OE stabilizer for the stud. That was expensive....

Mel, I bought a used OME stabilizer, so no it didn't.

It's on there now, good to go.
