You might want to start collecting spare axle shafts too :2thumbs:
Someone around here used to have some spares, you might want to post out in the wanted section.

These are easy. Me and Darick had it down to about 5 min at one point. I might swing by but I have a lot to do since I didn't get anything done today.
I might try to swing by to gain knowledge. I've never done anything like that before and would like to see how it's done. I have an FRG thing at 1000 so I won't be able to stay long. Seeing as how I want to put a locker in my 35, it would be good training.

I think I'll swing by if I wake up in time.

Me and alarms only work on work days. On off days I tend to ignore them....

Did you install two lockers and axle shafts or just a front locker?

only one locker the D30.
I found two carriers I thought were D35 but I was looking at them in the dark. One I'm sure is a D44 and the other I think is a D30. I didn't have them labeled for some reason. I'll look again in the daylight tomorrow. I know I had one just don't know where it is right now or if I still do.

I'll probably be interested in that D44 carrier.

ok. I need to measure it to be sure. I also have to make sure it's not one of my buddy's. It's also most likely for 3.73 and higher gears so if you are going to 4.10 or lower it wont work unless you use thick gears. I'll let you know.

anyone know how to identify a D35 carrier? I found a couple carriers but not sure if they are D35 or D30. They were labeled at one point but all that is left of the tag I put on them is the string. If I can figure out that one is a d35 that will help out corey.

Spicer carrier number for the D35 is #44590. It should be stamped on the carrier somewhere. The D44 number is #32684

How did it work for you? I heard you and Ren took it out and gave it a test run.

The locker was fine and got him some extra traction, but he punctured a tire going over a tree branch. Changing tires at -20 with a factory bottle jack sucks! I am definitely getting a Hi-Lift!

works great just need the tires to back it up

Thanks ron. I'll check the ones I have and let you know if they are D35 or not.
