This was my D35 and the reason I no longer run one. This happened on Banner in the lower play area. What you don't see and realize here is that when it happened it was daylight and about -10. When we finally got most of the pieces out and it back together it was dark and about -30. Not one of the funnest times.

Something positive for you though. that axle shaft was used in conjunction with a YJ brake drum to make a stand for my mini vise and now my bench grinder.

Weeeeeelllll.... That sucks. Too bad we couldn't keep Matt's D44 club internal. I really wish i had the extra cash when he needed it.

I took 1 or 2 of those pics and remember that day pretty well. Mel has an excellent point and the only thing I have to add to that is that it's not IF your Dana 35 breaks, it's WHEN you Dana 35 breaks...

And the biggest issue is the that notch on the end for the c-clip. If my D44 snaps I can limp it off the trail since I'm locked. with the D35 c-clip axle there is nothing to hold it in if it breaks.
