What kind of plugs are all of you yayhoos running? I was going to replace the plugs since I have no idea when the current ones were installed.

I am looking to do mine soon and I am going with Bosch, I always use that on all my vehicles and swear by them.

My dad always used autolite in our street rigs. All our dirt track cars and drag cars had either NGK or bosch. NGK seemed to always have a hotter spark or maybe it was just the performance coils on the cars. I use autolite in my xj and put autolite in the neon. they have never failed me. I also don't buy into all this platinum plus stuff and the E ones.

thats a tough one all I have been dealing with are glow plugs but good to know I have to do a tune up on the trooper so I will be watching. But in the past I used Autolights in my past rigs.

I've never used champion except in lawnmowers, weed eaters, and other farm/garden stuff. My thing is I'm not convinced that these high dollar fancy plugs are worth the money. cowboy you need to get away from the glow plugs and turn to some grid heaters, oh yeah. :)

only when I swap the power stroke for a cummins or get a new truck I use Auto light also and maybe Champs in the lawn toys

Ged, run factory plugs. Plug designs come and go, but the manufacturer spent many $$$ to ensure those plugs don't misfire or foul under typical use. Aftermarket plugs grab the closest number at times and hope for the best. Besides, correct plugs just create a spark- they won't help much without better coils; which need to have higher kV requirement, which requires more cylinder pressure, leaner mixtures, improper swirl, more airflow, boost, nitrous or such.

Champions do suck, except in Chrysler products and lawn mowers- see the connection?

That means they should do just fine in those Samurais, aren't they powered by Briggs and Straton?
