93Hummer

Well most of you know me. I have been on some trails with a few, helped a few wrench, and answered a few of your calls to come pull you out.
I wheel a beat up 93 hummer.... no bling in the traditional sense, but the scratches and dents look as good to me as 26 inch spinners do to the lowrider crowd. The sound system doesn't work, but the rattle of the gutless 6.2 diesel and hum of the 42 inch Iroks is music to my ears.
My questions about FAO:
What is this club really about? What are the requirements?
I am currently deployed to Iraq and won't be back until Sept 09. I am trying to talk the Army into another assignment here for 3 more years, but there are no guarantees as of yet. if I do stay, I am an Army Officer first and foremost, I don't like it most of the time, too much politicking and meetings and the year deployed, year at home thing kinda bothers me too... but hey, i'm the dummy who signed up for it right?
That being said, I won't even be able to do the three trail rides and a meeting until sometime in 2010..... so I have a lot of time before I can even become an FAO member (if I choose to pursue membership, and if you would have me).
If the Army is nice enough to let me stay in AK for 3 more years, and if FAO voted me in, I wouldn't have time to do much for the club other than wheel and wrench. I would not have much time for meetings, although I could attend a few. What are the club rules on this? No matter what though, if a member was stuck or stranded, I would come out and help, on a weeknight, in bad weather, I have done this in the past and will continue to do so.Taking care of each other comes first. What are the annula requirements after the 3 trail rides and a meeting? are there membership dues? I know you guys just started and are figuring all of this out. No rush, just curious to learn more about what FAO is all about.
Oh yeah...I forgot...what if a guy has no axles to freeze? I only have these darn Diffs, Halfshafts, and geared hubs:D:D
