One of the towing companies is having a huge auction this weekend at the lot on Davis. Signs say you can start viewing tomorrow at 10am. From the looks at the lot Id say there are at least 200 cars, trucks, and snowmachines. I think they even had a boat.
Anyone going?

Ron that is the city auction not a towing company
The dates for their auctions are:
22 April Catalog will be up sometime today Here (http://www.ci.fairbanks.ak.us/departments/personnel/surplus_auctions.php) Some photos are up Here (http://www.fairbanksauction.com/upcoming%20auction2.htm)
24 May
26 June
Online catalogs will be available two days before the auction and inspections start the day before the auctions. You can't start the vehicles at this auction. But if you look at why the vehicles are there you can figure out if they run or not. Ask kelly about the advice on the aveo. And he didn't listen about the bowling ball even though it ran. I'll be there probably with my trailer so if I don't buy something and someone does I can haul it out for you.

I've already printed the list and higlighted the editediteditedit out of it. I need to print a new one and be a little more conservative. For the most part the city auctions tend to be ok. Folks are hesitant about buying them for a bunch of money when they can't start them. I don't know why the city didn't put the list up. It is up on fairbanks auction's website (the second link).

I like that classic old blue wagon... that would be a cool beater driver waiting for a resto...

The next city auction is this weekend. I'll wait for the list to come out to decide if I go or not. I have a ton of work to do to the jeep but the last time I went I spent $25 and made that back before the end of the auction.

Tons of vehicles at this one too. My guess is the economy is keeping the stupid people in check. Probably some good deals at this one too

After looking at the list I figure I had better stay home. I don't need anymore rigs here that I don't have time for. But then again there are a few vehicles/items that may be tempting. Too bad I have to work friday and can't make it to the preview.
