The Recruit roster

Here's a list of our current recruits and their activity within the Frozen Axles club thus far.


Wrench sessions = :tools:
meeting = :grouphug:
function/activity = :noevil:
FAO trail ride = :driving:
Frozen Lunch = :coke:

The goal:
-Attend 1 club meeting :grouphug: during the six months prior to application.
Drive a 4wd vehicle in at least 1 club trail ride :driving: within the same 6 month period as above. The prospective member must then be nominated for membership by a current member having been on 2 or more of the qualifying outings with the prospective member.

In addition to qualifications, recruits will have a member sponsor who they can go to and ask questions about FAO and such. The sponsor will also ensure the recruit knows all of the bylaws and rules for rides, forums, meetings, and quals.

For the Record:

Although the Bylaws dont reflect the changes, it should be noted that 4 lunch meetings can be substituted for one club meeting. The only exception to this rule is that they can sub for the 3rd and final meeting which requires a nomination and vote for membership rights.

The bylaws should be updated shortly to reflect the changes.

In short they are not considered activities, that would be along the lines of builds, family gatherings, etc. As of now though they (a minimum of 4) can count towards a meeting for membership qualification purposes.

just a reminder for our recruits:
31 December is our cutoff for recruits trying to attain membership status. If recruits have been out on the roster for a long time and are making little to no progress, have dropped off the map, etc the club will be reviewing recruits to determine time in recruit status and determine whether to allow them to stay on the recruit roster or flow back to registered user status.
Participation in qualifying and non-qualifying functions will be taken into consideration as well as how long the person has been in recruit status and any underlying extenuating circumstances.

Well, update on the two guys I am sponsoring:

Okkar right now is running a two wheel drive Jeep as his front Dana 35 axle needs a new carrier and either stock spider gears or a lucnhbox locker. Right now his pumpkin is empty. If anyone has a spare 35 carrier we can help him get four wheeling again, he is looking to get an Aussie locker for it once he gets a carrier.

Sean (red Cherokee) came up to me yesterday saying that he got his PCS date moved and will be leaving Alaska in less than a month. He told me to tell everyone he had a blast riding with us and would have loved to stick around and continue his way to membership. He said the tril ride at Fairbanks Creek to Chatanika was one of the best times he had in Alaska. He wanted to say Thank You to FAO for the fun times.

Honestly, I tihnk this is where it stands. I do believe that Kyle has two lunches, which is the only exception to what is up there. As I know it:

Scott is ready for a vote, but there hasn't been a meeting to do such.

Tyler, from what Chuck and Dan told me months ago, kinda was "scared off" by the idea of having rig requirements for rides.

Big Blue doesn't want to be a member based off of the one lunch he attended.

Lynn deployed with us and hasn't been on the site since 27 March

Kyle very much wants to be a part of the club, from what I understand, but the lack of activity has not afforded him the oppertunity to do such.
