XJ D44 ZJ Brake Conversion

Nate this is mainly a question for you but I kind of took your advice on looking into it, is this the conversion you were talking about?

I don't know about this conversion it seems kind of in depth for one dumb kid go undertake without a spare axle to throw in. I don't know how to press bearings on axles and bore out the backing plate.

Oddly enough I can press bearings onto fan drive shafts on jet engines but I don't feel comfortable doing it on my Heep.

take your axle shafts to the auto hobby shop and press the old ones off. Buy new ones and have them pressed back on when you are done boring out the backing plates. You just have to buy the brackets. I have the part number in my NBM lil Chief build thread on here.
I picked up the brackets at Genes pretty cheap.
