Greetings Ya'll.

Im the Same Geeky907 from Alaska4x4network and 4x4parts.com

I currently live in anchorage and drive a (mildly) Lifted 87 Nissan Pathfinder.

I just recently took a job working at Pogo, and realized i would be in Fairbanks every couple weeks and figured it was time to quit lurking and introduce myself.

Im a general Geek.. I work professionally in the IT world, however my interests span from Electronics to Telecommunications to woodworking and steel craft, Video production and Graphic Arts. No i am not a typical Gamer geek... games bore me :)

For fun i do computer stuff *(go figure right?)* and i try to wheel.. but i also build things... like custom HID Projector Conversions and Custom high Durability Wiring harness's ... Yeah.... I said GEEK!!!...

Im pretty easy to get along with.. pretty thick skinned.. and will help out just about anyone once :)

It be great to get to know all of ya.. and hook some faces/rigs to some names

- Mike

Welcome Mike. Glad to see you drop by the Frozen Axles world. Do you have any idea of when you will be in town? Maybe we can get a ride going and go play for a bit. There is a meeting tomorrow if you are up this way right now.

Well the first couple trips im going to fly... I've got a few things i need to do vehicle-wise before i try to drive to FBX from ANC.. but im coming in on a midnight flight Sunday night (mon morn) to chillax at the airport for a few hours till the 5am bus comes around... then im workin for the next 17ish days... then back home... but im certianly down with the idea of spending a day wheelin after a rotation...

Honestly i dont know anything about any of the FBX trails.. what "day trips" would be any fun in a "JGC" sized rig on 31's? (without lockers or winch)

Welcome to our club!

I'm relatively new here, but I know there are not many trails right outside FBX, most are more than 50 miles away. Inside Ft Wainwright there is a small netrwork of trails that are a sort of local playground, not exactly a ride, but enough to get your rig dirty, even stuck if you want to. There's a few nearby, and the Fairbanks creek trail is nearby too. There's always the Tanana flats beyond South Chushman Road, but I'd stay out of the muskeg.
