here's the newest heep. 1999 with 95K, 2.5L 5 speed. 2" procrap lift, 31" AT's on studly wanna-be beadlocks. Beefy Dana 35 with 4.10's.
Already have a garage full of parts to start putting on it. The next Frozen Axles wrenching session starts this weekend in my garage.

You are gonna wish that it had at least a 4.0L, of course with emissions going away soon, a 350 could be a nice upgrade as well.

Should we start the poll now to see how long the 44 swap takes? :D j/k But seriously I was so anxious to find out what exactly you got I called only to find out you were at moose camp but got the low down from the misses. congrats. I liked the 4cyl in my old yj it had lots of low end tourque.

Im just glad to see you got another TJ to wheel, I know you werent really happy with the other ride. Im lovin them rims by the way :D

I really am not diggin the rims but they came with the rig so I can't complain. As for the build this time,
-32's or 33's
-eventually 4.88's
-locked out back
-open up front, or E locker if I have the loot at the time
-soft top/hard top/safari top/no top
-full cage, as usual
I already have a hard top, new soft top and a safari top, just need the soft top hardware and the header bar for the safari. Ordered neoprene seat covers today, changed the oil and filter, installed rear seat carpetting and the add-a-trunk, picked up a new hi lift and isolator and mounting brackets.
I am looking for a new stereo with Ipod connection in a week or two. Also looking for a 4.0L throttle body. Need somethign to help pimp the still-working air conditioning
the heepie got a severe cleaning today and is in like the 2nd stage of a 12 step cleaning program, just so I can get it dirty with my own earned mud. I also secured a set of Dana 35 gears to throw in this weekend as the rear axle gears are pretty well shot.

recommended smaller additions:
durabak the tub and pull the plugs
hand throttle
additional lighting up front
seat heaters
onboard air
all pretty minor but hand upgrades that making wheeling more fun

i figured after having the v-8 in the last heep u would be at least a 4.0 ho ..
i still see your old heep rolling around base down here ..

after having that V-8, I certainly appereciated the power on the highway but I'll stick with the 4 banger for trails.

Awesome new rig, Nate - now we have 1/2 an engine material again!
Nah - seriously... you always could seem to coax your old 4 banger into giving you more power than it should have...
Other than the Jeep thing, it's greta!!!
Wish I could help ya wrench - but I'm headed back out looking for Bullwinkle... maybe in October!
