Anyone else had the problem where their passenger seat will slide and recline forward but won't "jump" forward so folks can get in the back?
What did it take to fix this?

Here is your answer (http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f9/passanger-flip-forward-not-flipping-anymore-405405/) This is the clip I was talking about.

Some jeeps didn't have tumbling seats

that would be ridiculous. How would anyone get into the back seat? DC's infinate wisdom again, huh?

Just like the link says, mine did it to the drivers seat about 12 months after I got it. I just reach under and hit the paddle if I need to.

I used zip ties to attach mind back.

I've done that fix more than 3 times. Never tried a zip tie, though. I've still got a clip somewhere. 4k miles away...

I just use the paddle, easy peasy

My passenger seat will recline forward but when I put it back it doesn't slide back to the original position, like the driver's seat does. Is that the right way or is there a fix for that too?

Ren, that's how my 97 was. Even the day I picked it up from the dealer.

That's so weird, I hate having to adjust the pax seat every time I slide it forwards...

Parts on order. Once again Gene's loses my business. I ended up calling the dealership in Anchorage and ordering the part and having it shipped up to me. The price ended up being cheaper but regardless of whether it was or not the real point is Gene's customer service sucks, I ended up getting 2 different prices from 2 different people and the guy in parts copped an attitude when I asked him if the 66 dollar price was the best he could do when the guy I talked to last week from Gene's said 53.

Contact info for the Anchorage dealership:
2601 E 5th Ave, Anchorage - (907) 276-1331

Gene does suck. I went int there and waited almost a half hour by the parts counter. When I started walking away the guy noticed me...
