<insert tear-filled story of a jeep that won't start>

Connect the powerprobe to the battery. Remove the fuel pump relay. Insert power probe tip into the two wide terminals (load contacts) One will be light red and make a positive sound. That's the fuse side. The other will light green and make a ground tone, that's the negative. If you don't have a power, you apply it to the pump side by pushing the + button. If the pump runs, you track back to the fuse. Both sides should be hot (red light and positive tone). If only one is, then you have a blown fuse. Replace fuse. Notice that the original pump fuse was already replaced with a bigger fuse. :cool: That's your que to go and by a new pump (and a correct size fuse). Insert your replacement fuse (remembering to reinstall the relay) and restart vehicle. Don't wait too long to install said pump, as it gets colder, it will happen more often or simply fail. {Note all this would be done with the ASD relay jumpered so it doesn't turn off voltage to the pump circuit, or simply cycling key and watching for power for the first 3 seconds}
