What is the purpose behind this motor mount lift?

Couple of things really:

1. It reduces the angle of the rear driveshaft by tilting the xfer case down thus reducing vibrations
2. It allows for the use of a body lift w/o having to modify the fan shroud

Makes sense, except doesn't that increase the front driveshaft angle (or is that driveshaft longer and is less affected)?

Quite a bit longer shaft.

Anyone else running a motor mount lift? I installed it and got rid of the vibes in 1,2,3 gears. According to some folks, adding the motor mount lift allows for the removal of the T-Case drop. Anyone have experience with this? I'd like to get rid of the shovel underneath eventually, but for now until the tummy tuck happens, I'd like to remove the T-Case drop. Thoughts?

mine is still not on (t-case drop) and i have been doing fine but i do have alittle trouble with 4 low but i think i just need to install the bracket or trim alittle at the top of the 4x shifter for it

if you don't have a case drop you probably just need to adust the cable, you have a body lift don't you?

you might be able to adjust it and get away with it, i have a bracket on mine as i have a tcase drop.

take the tcase drop out and try it. If it vibrates add washers until you have the right amount of drop. You should be able to raise it part of the way but without a CV shaft your probably not going to be able to get rid of all of your drop.
