January meeting held January 9th 2010 at Ged Riley's house. I was running a few minutes late as I had to wait for the wrecker to haul Kevin's EB into my garage. There was a bunch of food and soda. Thanks Mr and Mrs. Riley for hosting this meeting.

Membership Duties
Talked about the member's new duties and how it's working. Offered that other members bring up tasks that they would like to help with. The thread is here...http://www.frozenaxles.com/showthread.php?t=1174

XJ Repairs
Explained the reason for short notice and the funds it netted the club. Asked the others to come up with good ideas for fund raising. Ged spoke about washing cars in his speedo. Perhaps membership isn't for everybody... The thread is here (for members)...http://www.frozenaxles.com/showthread.php?t=1157

Website
We talked about the website colors. After this discussion I'm committed to getting a few options out there so that the site is easier to read for all.

Dues
Explained membership dues were now being collected for this year. A few questions whether those that paid fully in October need to pay another full dues. I'll figure out what they should have paid and credit the difference to this year if necessary. The paypal link is at the beginning of this thread...http://www.frozenaxles.com/showthread.php?t=425

Trail Communications
We talked about the benefits of FRS vs CB.

Upcoming Builds
Patches (Kevin's EB): This Sunday and Monday. http://www.frozenaxles.com/showthread.php?t=14
Army Green: Waiting for Patches to have a little work done. http://www.frozenaxles.com/showthread.php?t=8
Purple People Eater: Gears need installed. I volunteered my garage. http://www.frozenaxles.com/showthread.php?t=630
DNA's stocker: Lift install in March.
Pre-Stampede Warn Winch Workshop. Mine needs to be rebuilt. Others can come over and do theirs at the same time. Late January/Early February.

Trailer Build
Discussed getting the trailer done, what was needed (frame, axle, lights and coupler). Tossed around pros and cons of the coupler. Members and recruits invited to help.

Upcoming Rides
Weather dependent, Ged will post up a Gilmore trail ride and Kelly will post up a Goldstream Valley run. Look here for upcoming rides...http://www.frozenaxles.com/forumdisplay.php?f=18

To The Recruits in Attendance
We discussed FAO's stance on participation: Put into the club more than you take out. Leave nobody behind. Trail rides aren't nearly as important as builds, meetings, and general participation for membership. Ask questions and make sure you are prepared for the trail. With that said, I'm glad to see all the recruits and stand ready to help as needed! You can read more about that here...http://www.frozenaxles.com/showthread.php?t=20 and here...http://www.frozenaxles.com/showthread.php?t=997

A good meeting, which took longer than it needed to since I was in charge. Thanks for sticking it out with us.

Of course, after the meeting we played guitar hero just so I could prove that I am not a rockstar.

thanks for running that one Kelly. I don't miss many meetings but Uncle Sam has been getting his a lot more lately...

This looks like it turned out to be a good productive meeting.

The trailer was discussed at length. Trailer couplers, axles and the need to get it done were fully discussed. I'll correct the minutes to reflect that.
