It all depends on if I get a job

and if I am bringing the fam up at that time,

and if I can get a rig.

This looks like fun...I would have to tweak my schedule to go.
What sort of trail rides do they do? I just don't want to camp in the Palmer rain.

Anyone interested in heading down a few days early like the group did last year? I really want to run Eska.

If I get my jeep put together (with lockers and such by then) that would be fun, although I wouldn't want to take too much time off. I could see leaving Wednesday and taking 2 days to get there or something....but my contact at Arctic Offroad Supply has to get parts for me.

Another week of pre-M&G wheeling is called for. I already have the time off requested for it. :2thumbs:

Eska is a 2 star trail because of a couple mud holes, but becomes a 4+ trail in a heavy rain! Even with swampers and working the brakes, I slid halfway down the hill and almost rolled the Bronco towards the bottom. Good times!

I'm getting to the falls this year come edit or high water. I'll walk it if I have to :o

You dont need lockers to run a few of the trails there. They have everything from beginner to extreme in trailrides for that weekend. Its a great time!

Maybe the customized rebirth of a Suburban will be ready for this, although I highly doubt it.

bump this.

Anyone heading up planning dates to leave town and go down? If I'm going, I'll need to make my adjustments.

I think I'll come down Saturday, run trails Sunday :fire: and head home Monday...I don't think I'll tweak more time off...

Is it worth going that short of time?

Brian,
I did that a couple of times. It was a little quick as far as the commute but the timing was right for the actual wheeling.

There couldnt be a worse week this whole summer for this (at least in my book). Nate is off to school, Paul is getting hitched on the 28th, and I cant take leave any of the following three week...

Somehow, one way or another I will make at least part of this.

Ken, a number of us plan on making the trek down to meet and greet a week early (leaving the prior Sunday) wheeling the heck out of all trail to Palmer and then attend M&G. We would then leave and return on the following Monday. We even have returning members who are going along as well...

That's possible for me. Except I would probably swap out for small tires for the trip then swap out in Palmer.

I wont be making it again this year. :(

Could someone please bring back a couple of calipers? Dan forgot to load them up when the CUCV D60 was brought up a few weeks ago.

Looks like I'll be heading down on thursday the 25th with my crew cab diesel (with a cab over camper Possible) and my toy on a trailer. Anyone else about the same time wanna convoy :driving:. I think I'll try leaving about 7 AM and I'll have a cb also. If I don't take a camper then I can haul something down if someone needs something hauled and if someones rig breaks down there then I could haul it back and possibly let some one dive mine back with little tires on it.

I need someone who is willing to pick up a driveshaft and tail light assembly from a guy down at M&G. Anyone got a little room to spare?

akhillbille

yeah.

The Avy will be going to M&G with my trailer. It will be the Skitzo hauler for Jeff to use and bring back to FBNX when he's done.

Figured Kev's trailer needs a bit more work if it's gonna go down to Anchorage and back, and so do his tow rigs.

I'll be dropping it off in Anchorage on Thursday, and it'll be safe and sound till he gets there.
